The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Buildings (EEPB) are hosting a series of breakfast briefings for the supply chain to find out more about the opportunities under the Green Deal.
The Green Deal, to begin in autumn this year, is the Coalition Government’s initiative to support the installation of energy efficiency measures in homes and businesses.
The Green Deal is a financing mechanism that uses the energy savings the measures create, to help cover the up-front cost of the works. In addition, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), a subsidy from energy suppliers, will provide extra help for people most in need and to drive the installation of certain other measures.
The roadshows are being held around the country, between 22 June and 20 July and are free to attend. Dates and booking information can be found on the DECC website.
