Implementing your environmental policy

Many businesses write an environmental policy but how many actually implement their listed aims? Increasingly companies are being asked to demonstrate what they have done in the last year, making their environmental policy a live working document.

Action plans should always accompany environmental policies, detailing measurable targets and identifying who in the company is responsible for achieving these goals.

To help businesses get started Lulu Consulting is running a workshop at the Sustainable Business Exhibition, Bournemouth, on 10 November. In this interactive workshop delegates will find out:

  • What to cover in environmental policies and plans
  • The benefits of implementing plans
  • What to do with them once they’ve been written
  • How to get staffed engaged in the process

The session will include practical exercises, providing a starting point for delegates to devleop their own policy and plan back in their workplace.

The workshop runs between 12.30-13.30 and further booking details can be found on the Sustainable Business Exhibition website.
