Survived 10K Race for Life

I had a beautiful morning to run the 10K Race for Life yesterday along the undercliff at Bournemouth. Sunny for  most of the race, but not at the end when the photo was taken, I completed the run in 1 hour, 15 minutes. Quite pleased as this is the first time I’d run this length of race and the training programme hadn’t exactly gone according to plan.

It was lovely to run with all the other ladies, young and old, all helping to raise money for Cancer Research. The waves were gently lapping on the beach as we pounded along the promenade and everyone was in good spirits, particularly as we crossed the finishing line.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far on and offline. But there’s still time to sponsor me if you haven’t got round to it already. Please go to my sponsor page where you can help provide funding to beat cancer.
